Poem : Naivete

The drop hung suspended

On the edge of eternity

For an instant-

For an instant

Time stood still

And then it fell,

A moist pearl,

A glistening jewel,

Dissolving into nothingness;

In the blinking of an eye, nothing remained,

 As if nothing had been,

Another shining star

Another tiny drop

Its journey now began

To end in another naïve nothingness .
