Poem: Define me (if you can)
Define me, if you can
and define me, if you will-
for I am the Winged Bird of Paradise
(that soars to higher climes)
and I am the crawling worm
(lower than a snake's belly I slither);
I am the vessel of gold enwrought
(fit repository for heaven's wine)
and I am the earthen pitcher baked
(of strangely cracked design);
I am all things, all climes,
(the splendour of His Design)
and I am nothingness personified
(the essence of dust am I)
So define me, if you can
and define me, if you will,
for ultimately
I defy all definition.
